Inner Child

Based on the idea of the creative, playful, and empowered role of the inner child, a skeletal hand the size of a 12-year-old boy’s hand is rendered in quartz and other minerals, balancing symbolic objects from atop his finger. A slight homage to the creative act of alchemy as typified in the Hand of the Alchemist, wherein each finger is assigned a symbolic image and meaning which reflects Apotheosis (the elevation of someone to divine status; deification).
